What is ARTBLX?

ARTBLX is fine art investment brought to life. Through our intuitive platform, individuals can buy and sell shares in investment-grade artwork.

What is ARTBLX trying to do?

The art world is hard to break into. We want to bridge the gap between the number of art lovers and the number of art collectors by making ownership of investment-grade artwork accessible to everyone.

Why invest in art?

Traditional art collectors have it good: they own the world’s most beautiful objects, are shaping the histories of the most talented artists, and enjoy the collector lifestyle. On top of that, they have the opportunity to gain substantial financial returns. Fine art is relatively uncorrelated with traditional investments, such as stocks and bonds. Investors who put money into fine art at the beginning of 2018 saw an average return of 10.6% by the end of the year, whereas those who put money into the S&P 500 lost 5.1%.1

Can I invest?

If you live in the U.S. and are over 18 years of age, you can invest. We’ll ask you to answer some simple questions to verify your identity upon sign up. You do not need to be an accredited investor to purchase shares.

Why should I trust ARTBLX?

We are committed to maintaining the utmost level of transparency and trust with our collectors. Every work on the platform will undergo a thorough diligence process by industry experts, and all investment details will be subject to SEC-review and qualification. All relevant documentation, including the offering memorandum submitted to the SEC, will be available to view online.

How does ARTBLX work?

We’ll begin to announce the first artworks in the summer. Each artwork will go through an initial offering, when the shares first become available to investors through our platform.

How do I sell my shares?

We aim to have specific windows of time during which investors can offer their shares for purchase by other participants directly through our platform. Our ultimate goal is to find the best exit option for our investors by selling artworks, in their entirety, off the platform. We’ll stay attuned to trends in the art market and keep our investors informed of any potential sale opportunities.

Can I see the artworks in person?

The artworks will be stored in a state-of-the-art, climate controlled art storage facility equipped with viewing rooms. We also plan to host pop-up exhibitions and events so that ARTBLX collectors can experience the artworks in person.

What sets ARTBLX apart?

ARTBLX is uniquely positioned with advice, support and backing from seasoned collectors, gallerists, art dealers and industry insiders who have been active in the art world for decades.

Is ARTBLX an art fund?

No. Traditional art funds require steep minimum investments, charge management fees and commissions in the realm of 20%, and usually lock-up investments for at least one to five years. Plus, investors are not able to choose the specific works they put their money toward.

We are “testing the waters” under Regulation A of the Securities Act of 1933 in anticipation of an offering statement to be filed with the Securities Exchange Commission (“SEC”). This process allows a company to determine whether there may be interest in an eventual offering of its securities. If we decide to proceed, we will only be able to sell securities after the SEC has “qualified” our offering statement. Any offer to buy or sell securities can be withdrawn or revoked before qualification, without obligation or commitment of any kind, and indications of interest do not create a binding commitment to purchase securities. No money or other consideration is being solicited at this time for any offering, and if sent in response, will not be accepted. No offer to buy the securities can be accepted and no part of any purchase price can be received by the issuer or anyone else until the offering statement filed by the company with the SEC has been qualified by the SEC. We are not under any obligation to make an offering under Regulation A. We may choose to make an offering to some, but not all, of the people who indicate an interest in investing, and that offering may not be made under Regulation A. The information in our offering statement will be more complete than the information provided on this website or in other materials, and could differ in important ways. You must carefully read the offering statement and circular filed with, and qualified by, the SEC before investing. The information provided on our website has been prepared without reference to any person’s investment requirements or financial situation. Potential investors are encouraged to consult with professional tax, legal, and financial advisors before making any investment into an offering. All investments involve risk, including the risk of the loss of all of your invested capital. Please carefully consider your investment objectives, risks, transaction costs, and other expenses related to an investment prior to deciding to invest. An indication of interest involves no obligation or commitment of any kind by either party.
